Cheap Oreck Genuine Hypo-Allergenic Celoc Filter Bags Huge Package of 8 These Are Original Oreck Bags, Not Generic Like the Others Review

I purchased these bags and received generic bags. I contacted the seller and, citing a shipping error, they sent the correct Oreck bags. I originally rated the seller with 1 star. But they responded to my email and sent the correct product so quickly that I should have rated them with 5 stars. I’ll buy from them again. The way I see it, mistakes can happen. What separates a good seller from bad is whether or not I receive what I ordered at the agreed upon price. This seller delivered!

Unique Tourna Extra Long Original Dry Feel Tennis Grips (10 Grips)

Cheap Unique Tourna Extra Long Original Dry Feel Tennis Grips (10 Grips) Review

Having broken more than one expensive racket; when serving the racket would fly out of my sweaty hand and smash into the hard court breaking the frame. Years ago when this used to happen I was using leather replacement grips, but since I’ve changed over to this heavy paper grip I have not had a racket leave my hand. So the cost of having to replace the grip often is worth it for me because I save on replacing expensive rackets. The ones that I use now are so old I couldn’t replace them anyway so that’s even more reason to protect my investment. The grips get dirty and have to be replaced often so it makes more sense to buy the 10 pack to save money. Another way I save money is to flip the grip and use the reverse side as a fresh grip. So rather than tape the grip down with the supplied tape, I just use the rubber grip band that is found on some rackets. For me there’s something psychological about playing with a nice new grip so I often change the grip for important matches. I find that I prefer the feel of heavy paper over leather and would still use the product even if I didn’t have to worry about breaking rackets. I’ve seen other similar products, but I like this one so much that I haven’t wanted to try out anything else.

Cheap Original HP 94 Black Ink Cartridge (2-Pack) in Retail Packaging Review

No problems with these cartridges. They work fine. My only complaint is they are way too expensive for what they are. The consumer is getting ripped off tremendously by the manufacturers of this product. However, we all know that, but we don’t have much recourse, do we?

Old Spice Classic Wide Solid, Original Scent, 3.25-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

Cheap Old Spice Classic Wide Solid, Original Scent, 3.25-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) Review

Ok I’m writing a review of deodorant. Well this deodorant is getting hard to find in the stores I frequent, so I bought a case of it from Amazon. What I like about Old Spice Classic Original Scent is that it works, smells almost as good as cologne, and isn’t visible on your clothes. When I couldn’t find Old Spice Classic Original in the store I tried several other brands, but always found them to be chalky or have a very strong chemical-type smell. Even scents like “Ocean Breeze” smell like benzene or something to me.

If you find this deodorant in a store give it a try (it must be the exact wording “Classic” and “Original Scent”), if you like it grab a case from Amazon, it won’t go bad.

Original Doctor Mom Otoscope, otoscopes

Cheap Original Doctor Mom Otoscope, otoscopes Review

Fantastic earscope especially for the price. I am so happy with my purchase. I can see my childs eardrum so clearly with this marvelous little tool. Why did I not know about these before now. I just stumbled across the otoscope when I was searching for a book about ear infections. I did not know they were even available to the general public. I thought the only way I could check on the ears of my daughter was to take her into the pediatrician and pay my co-pay.
It is so easy to look in her ear and check her eardrum for redness. What you see is what you get. It also comes with directions to a webpage link that has wonderful color eardrum pictures and directions.
I am so happy with my purchase. You will not go wrong with this otoscope.

Original HP 940 Black Officejet Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging

March 20, 2010

Cheap Original HP 940 Black Officejet Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging Review

There’s nothing wrong with this cartridge, compatible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 printers. Except that it’s rated for only 1000 pages. For only a little more you can get the HP 940XL Officejet Black Ink Cartridge (C4906AN) which is rated for 2200 pages.

The 1000 page rating is based on HP’s testing methodology meaning that it’s highly unlikely that you will get 1000 pages out of your cartridge. If you make copies, if you print photos, if you use the high quality settings you are going to run out of ink much sooner but the fact remains that you do get a lot more ink in this cartridge than in the ‘regular’ one.

HP claims (couldn’t verify) that using Officejet inks on papers with the ColorLok logo the output will retain color quality ‘for decades’. Such an ink/paper combination, according to HP, will produce documents that resist water and fading.

Which one to order? At the time I wrote this review I got more value by far with the larger cartridge.

HP 38 Cyan Pigment Ink Cartridge (C9415A) Purchased this ink for My B9180 Photosmart Pro Printer. It works beautifully, and installation is a snap. However, the price you pay for HP Ink is very high. I have recently switched to Kodak, and the cost is considerably less.

Sally Hansen the Original Cornsilk Classic Translucent Pressed Powder 55-02 No Color

March 18, 2010

Cheap Sally Hansen the Original Cornsilk Classic Translucent Pressed Powder 55-02 No Color Review

This product was discontinued for a while, somewhere around 2006 or 2007-ish. I’ve done some considerable reading on other message boards on this product, as well as having contacted Sally Hansen itself. What I learned was that the product had been discontinued back in that ‘06-’07 time period shortly before Cornsilk’s manufacturer, Coty, had acquired Sally Hansen. Once they did that, they decided to move their Cornsilk line over to the Sally Hansen label, and began selling it again, as a Sally product. Longtime users noted that, once the product was sold under the Sally name, the ingredients list change–the most noteworthy change being that their most touted ingredient, walnut husks, dropped down the ingredients list considerably, and talc, an ingredient which is NOT good in facial powers and which was NEVER listed previously, was now the TOP ingredient. Despite this disappointing change, this new product was nevertheless STILL better than any other facial powder on the market by a mile.

Now it appears the product is discontinued again. Sally no longer makes it. Through my research, I was able to ascertain that Sally decided some time ago to completely discontinue the Cornsilk line, but continued to make the NO COLOR version of the product until supplies ran out. They finally stopped making the product around the end of 2008. So all the Cornsilk you’ll find out there now are from businesses that specialize in discontinued make-up, or stores that buy discontinued lots, like Big Lots or the like. This is why the product is now suddenly much harder to find, and a LOT more expensive than it used to be.

Meanwhile…there is NOTHING else like it on the market. I really don’t understand why there is SUCH fervor over all the mineral powders that are on the market, like Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover. I’ve tried a couple of them, and all cake into cracks and crevices TERRIBLY and make the face look MORE aged and completely unnatural…NOTHING like what they seem on TV.

This product is the BEST one out there for absorbing oil, matting shine, and smoothing imperfections like large pores or wrinkles, while looking completely NATURAL on. And I’m SO disappointed at Coty/Sally Hansen for discontinuing this line…and I’ve written them to let them know what I think about it. They’ve never promoted the line very well–I’ve NEVER ONCE seen a tv commercial for this product. But it’s a gem.

I hope they reconsider their decision and bring the product back to the market. Maybe if enough consumers protest…on one board that I read, a consumer who had contacted Sally mentioned that the Sally rep was keeping a list of names and numbers of those requesting that the product is reincarnated, and perhaps if enough requests are made, they’ll reinstate the product. So anyone who wants this product back should take a moment to contact Sally Hansen at [...]. Perhaps a grass roots effort is what is needed to return this product back to the shelves. I’d let Sally know that if they only MARKETED the damned product, the customers would buy! If you’ve never used this product before, just give it a try–you’ll never go back.
