Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Silver)

Cheap Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Silver) Review

While I prefer to use my DSLR whenever possible, it’s not practical to carry it around everywhere that I go with my two young children, so I have always also kept a point-and-shot nearby for candids. My last little Canon finally bit the dust when my oldest son bent the retractable lens out of place and then tried to shut the camera off, jamming it for good. That was after three and a half years of use and abuse, so I definitely got my money out of it, which is why I went for a Canon again to replace it.

This is REALLY a compact little camera, very sleek and stylish. The software has definitely had some changes and updates, but it only took me a few days to get acclimated and now I find that it’s easier and quicker to use than my older one. The pictures are obviously not comparable to my DSLR, but I’ve gotten some great shots, so I already considering this a worthwhile investment. In my opinion, if you’re looking for a easy to carry, easy to operate, affordable digital camera, this is the one for you.

(As a sidenote, I purchased a refurbished model, saved a few bucks, got a brand-new quality camera, and ended up with an unexpected bonus battery in the box!)

GGS DSLR LCD Optical Glass Screen Protector for Canon EOS 40D, 50D camera

Cheap GGS DSLR LCD Optical Glass Screen Protector for Canon EOS 40D, 50D camera Review

I bought these not so sure about how they would look and work. well not that I have them installed I forget they are there and have no more worries about my LCD getting hurt. These things are awesome for protection and practically disappear when you installed them. They stick great and only touch around the black frame around your LCD. The viewing though it I think is actually better than just the screen. I thought the glare my get worse with these but it doesn’t. Some of the best protection I have ever bought for my cameras, wish I would have done it sooner. This to me know is just as important as getting a UV filter.

I have an Olympus stylus and this fits it perfectly. It’s hard enough to protect it and has little pockets and a velcro strap inside to keep camera secure. Great product and a great price!

Cheap Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W230 12 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom and Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Dark Blue) Review

Its a good camera with great picture quality. Easy to use with different modes of operating with it. Image stabilization avoids blurring of images and you can click even when you are moving. But may be because of the brand name the cost is a little higher than other cameras with similar features.
Over all its a good product to buy.

Cheap HP PB360 12 MP Digital Camera with 3-Inch Touch-Screen LCD (Bronze) Review

I own many digital cameras, but this HP product is great. I love the touch screen, easy to move around to the different features. The unit is very compact, and the clarity of the pictures is fantastic! There are no cameras out there with this type of feature pack, 12MP, touch screen that is 3″! I recommend this product to anyone that wants a great compact camera!

Q-See QSC48030 High Resolution Weatherproof CCD Camera w/80ft of Night Vision (Color)

Cheap Q-See QSC48030 High Resolution Weatherproof CCD Camera w/80ft of Night Vision (Color) Review

@Gregg Cornett — I experienced similar clouding under IR in one of my cameras. The fix was to clean it using a solution tailored for optics (just the cleaning agent and nothing else that leaves a residue) and lens tissue. The camera was restored to its original clarity. My theory is that this camera got misted over during a fogging period and subsequently dried leaving a fine residue on the face of the exterior glass. Incoming light would diffuse around it (like spots on one’s glasses). Outgoing IR light would scatter and cause lens flair. When I say fine residue, I mean that it would appear clean to the naked eye.

This solution worked for me. YMMV

Canon Powershot A2000IS 10MP Digital Camera with 6x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

Cheap Canon Powershot A2000IS 10MP Digital Camera with 6x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom Review

I’ve only had this a short time, but I’m not new to digital photography. I bought this after a lot of research. I wanted a smaller camera because I just didn’t want to lug my sx10is around all the time. What I wanted was good picture quality. This little camera is a gem. I am absolutely impressed with how good the pictures really are. It’s a point and shoot with point and shoot limitations. Sure, it’s missing manual controls but, I really don’t care. I just wanted simplicity, a smaller & lighter camera that takes decent pictures. I got everything I was looking for. When using flash, it is slow for the next picture but, that’s not unusual in cameras like these. I ran into the same situation when I used point and shoot film cameras. So, this was no surprise to me, and it’s acceptable for me. The video should not be zoomed as digital zoom just plain stinks. The colors are more saturated in this camera I notice. The contrast is bumped up a notch higher too. In bright sunny days, I like that. I haven’t done much in dimmer lighting yet, so I’m curious as to how those colors may act since saturation is up. If I see a problem, I can always switch to the program mode, then switch “my colors” to “Neutral.” That should calm over saturation down. I’ll have to wait and see. I always set the focus to center. That seems to work the best for me. I do the same with my sx10. I’m not impressed with face detection. What I can’t seem to see any differences is in the auto vs. easy mode. I even put my bifocals back on. Does anyone see any difference between the “easy” and “auto” mode? Over all, for the money, I think this takes wonderful snap shots. Clear. Colorful. No purple tint/fringing. It’s a nifty lightweight easy to use camera that really does a fine job. I think a lot of people who just want nice pictures will love this camera. When I give this a wirl at night, I’ll update this post and give you the good or bad news. Reading the manual to all cameras several times is just so important. I take it with me. I’m not ashamed to read it out in public. I want my pictures to look as good as they can. Understanding how my camera works is just so worth learning. I can take beautiful pictures because there is more to a camera tha the “auto” mode.

Canon Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Black)

Cheap Canon Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Black) Review

I went from a Canon A-1 to this, and haven’t looked back! The greatest feature of this camera: It’s fun to use! I guess this is a common feature to all digital cameras. You are able to see your picture right away, and make exposure corrections as needed for that perfect picture. This encourages you to take more pictures, and instantly learn from your mistakes. I am not a professional photographer, but for my money, this camera is hard to beat. I still keep my trusty A-1 at home, but this Rebel XS is the one that I’m driving around town with these days.

Neoprene Sleeve Case (Orange) for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 Digital Camera Silver

Cheap Neoprene Sleeve Case (Orange) for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 Digital Camera Silver Review

This case fits the DMC-TS1 perfectly. The neoprene should also provide a fair degree of protection to the camera as well. The outer pocket is fairly small, don’t expect to store too much here. I had a spare battery, a small lens wipe, and the little brush that comes with the camera for cleaning door gaskets. That filled the outside pocket completely.
