Women’s Merrell Jungle Moc Leather

Cheap Women’s Merrell Jungle Moc Leather Review

I discovered Merrell Jungle Mocs and slides over 15 years ago. They fit my foot so well I can wear them without my orthotics!! They fit well, grip the road well, are well-made, last a long time, and look good in almost every situation. Thank goodness Merrell hasn’t changed the design or discontinued the line in all these years. I will continue to buy this shoe as long as Merrell makes it!

Dansko Women’s Merrie Cabrio Leather Clog

Cheap Dansko Women’s Merrie Cabrio Leather Clog Review

This shoe is very attractive. I did return it because it is sized a 7.5-8 and I found the shoe too short. My toe touched the end of the shoe. My foot actually fit the footbed exactly but when I walked I could feel my toe rubbing. I did not exchange for the larger size as I felt it would be too long. I normally wear an 8 and have extra toe room. Just be aware of the sizing if you order. It is a nice quality shoe.

FitFlop Women’s Gogh II Clog

Cheap FitFlop Women’s Gogh II Clog Review

I had been looking at these clogs forever, but I was waiting for the price to drop. As soon as it did, I bought these clogs. They are so comfortable and haven’t hurt my feet one time. These clogs fit perfect the first time I put them on and they didn’t require a break in period. I normally can’t stand up for more than a few minutes at a time. With these shoes, I find myself standing for longer time frames without pain. These shoes are just about perfect. There is only one thing I would like to see different in them. I don’t care much for the material (felt) that covers the shoe. I have dogs and the dog fur sticks to the shoes terribly. It can be removed with a lint roller. It is just a pain. For the price of the shoe, I can live with the dog fur and I love the shoes! I am going to purchase another pair in black. I have the brown ones. I wish they came in more colors. I would be very tempted to buy a pair in every color because of the comfort. I have problems with my feet and have a very hard time finding shoes that I can wear without spending a small fortune on shoes, so I wait for the great deals I find at Amazon.com.

Allen Edmonds Men’s Strand Cap Toe With Perfing

Cheap Allen Edmonds Men’s Strand Cap Toe With Perfing Review

These are perhaps the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased. These shoes are true to fit and for those looking for a narrow size this style can be found in A, B or C widths, at least from Allen Edmonds if they are not available here. Actually, the width range is from A to EEE but B & C widths start at size 8 and A widths at size 9. I normally wear size 9C but tried the 9B as I was able to get them at a very good price. The 9B fits comfortably snug (more so than a C width at the arch but not tight across the toes) and therefore offers great arch support.

The leather is top grade and takes a great shine. The style is timeless so they offer a sound purchase so long as you are not wanting to change with every fashion trend that comes along. The cushioning is hot cork but the shoes do not need additional padding because of the superior design. When walking I feel a sense of balance that I have not had with other brands as everything seems to be cut to precise proportions.

The style is great for business / dress occasions but can be dressed down with chinos etc. The perforated cap toe gives a look that is between a wing tip and a regular cap toe. The Strand now has a MSRP of 5.00 so anything less is a deal.

Cheap DC Men’s Character Skate Shoe,White/Oxblood,8 M US Review

I love the design, but the shoe flap is really padded and does take up alot of room so it feels half a size small and doesn’t feel too comfortable. Feels like my feet are being squashed with a big maxi pad. Shipping took like 3 weeks to get here. But owell.

Skechers Women’s Shape Ups-Optimize Fitness Walking Shoe

Cheap Skechers Women’s Shape Ups-Optimize Fitness Walking Shoe Review

Was at Sports Authority and bought a pair of Aspires (similar technology to Skechers) because they were on sale and I had been thinking of trying them. Nice-looking, but wearing them maade me feel like a horse that had been improperly shod. After a week they still felt clunky, so I ordered Skecher’s because they invented the technology and it had to be better than what I had or they wouldn’t have sold any. Delighted to say that when they arrived and I put them on, they were 100% better. Better cushioning, and I was immediately walking normally again. NOTE: Skechers ran much smaller than my New Balance wide, sent original pair back and got ones a WHOLE SIZE larger. That worked.

Salomon Men’s XA Pro 3D Ultra Trail Running

June 13, 2010

Cheap Salomon Men’s XA Pro 3D Ultra Trail Running Review

I recently decided I’d take up running.

I keep looking back over that sentence in disbelief. See, for most of my life I’d regarded runners and the things they did to themselves with the same incredulous nature as I’d previously reserved for German adult film actors. Yet here I am. A runner. One of those people you see running in 40 degree weather and light snow. Yeah. Four years ago, had you told me this is what I’d be doing, I’d have laughed. Actually I’d have sputtered half a laugh before breaking down into a throaty smoker’s hack, face turning red and tears welling around the edges of my eyes. The type of fit that would leave you uncertain as to if you should pat me reassuringly on the back or pick up a phone and dial “9-1″ and just … wait.

Anyway, here I am, a runner. Honestly, I lucked into buying these shoes. Reason I bought them? Thought they looked cool, and they weren’t too cheap. See I figured I’d have a rough time getting into running. Why? BECAUSE IT’S FREAKING RUNNING. It’s hell on your joints and about as fun as a kidney stone. So I thought the only way to force myself to give it a solid shot would be to buy somewhat not-cheap shoes so I wouldn’t want the money to go to waste.

Lucky for me, my running friends tell me I made a good choice. I mean, as far as I can tell, I love them. Extremely comfy, rugged, but at the same time nice and light. One of my friends who was remarking at how sturdy the shoe looked was extremely surprised at its lightweight nature when she picked it up.

Oh! And it has this really nifty Kevlar lacing system. You just jam your foot in there, yank on the little tab thingie attached to the laces and the entire shoe just SUCKS itself onto your foot. Creepy, man. I have to admit I still haven’t mastered using the little button release system to undo the laces. I mean I still manage to get the shoes off with no problem, yeah, but. Sometimes I do so a little awkwardly. I’d like to be a little smoother at it, just in case some hottie walks by while I’m doing so. So I can be all “Yeah baby, I know my way around some shoes.” And throw down some serious fingergun/wink action. Gets the ladies every time.

I generally use the shoes on rocky trails just outside of town, but I’ve also done a bit of running around my neighborhood on pavement and sidewalks and such. Seemed pleasing for either environment. Oh and they seem to dry really quickly after stomping through puddles while yelling “SPLASH!” Probably without the yelling too, but I sure wouldn’t know.

The only reason I’m giving this shoe 4 stars instead of 5 is that I, uh. I feel kind of presumptuous as a running newb giving anything 5 stars. That seems like just asking for terrible karma. Like, next thing you know I’d totally blow my knee out the next time I went out running. Yeah. And then I’d have to stay home playing Xbox instead of torturing myself out on the trails.

This. This clearly requires more thought.

Anyway. Nice shoes.

UPDATE: I just took said shoes out for a mud-running excursion in the middle of a heavy rainstorm. Holy CRAP. These things are awesome! There were several times where I thought I was going to slip and eat it in some fairly hardcore areas, but each time the shoe’s traction totally saved my butt. I only had enough time to partially hurl an expletive like “HOLY G-” or “MOTHERD-” or “SAMMY HAG-” before the tread dug in and I was fine. Man. These things rule. If I ever have a kid, I’m naming it Salomon, no matter what the gender.

Okay, as you were.
